Built in 1860 as the Kielder station master’s house, and restored with care — it has its own model in Bellingham Heritage Centre. Three bedrooms sleeping six, including a ground-floor room with an en-suite shower for anyone who would rather not tackle stairs. Gated off-road parking, smart-lock entry with your own PIN, dogs welcome, and 5G Wi-Fi.
The Lounge
Log burner, deep armchairs and a large smart TV, with chess and Cluedo for clouded-over nights. Bean-to-cup coffee in the morning, a wine chiller for the evening. The telescope is yours to use — keep it by the window, or carry it out into the garden when the sky is clear.

The Master Bedroom
A king-size bed and a walk-in wardrobe overlooking the garden, with room to actually unpack. Downstairs there is a further double with blackout curtains and its own en-suite shower — no stairs at all — and a second double upstairs.
The Star Room
Stars and galaxies projected gently across the ceiling. Children ask to go to bed early. Adults do not always admit they feel the same.
